GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Booking of tourist accommodation or campsites by private individuals (below named as “The Customer”).

The purpose of these General Terms and Conditions is to define the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with the rental of campsites and/or rental accommodation at our campground.

By reserving a campsite and/or accommodation on our campground, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions.

1 RESERVATION
How to book:
You can make a reservation via our website www.camping-arpheuilles.com, or by telephone on (+33) 4 77 63 43 43.
All booking requests must provide:
- a 25% deposit of the total cost of the stay, including taxes and the price of the additional services booked.
- Payment, if applicable, of the cancellation insurance premium.

A booking is not binding until you have received written confirmation of your booking by e-mail or by postal mail, or by signing the contract if you book directly on the premises with the service provider. The written confirmation should summarize all the information relating to your stay.
The remaining balance of the booking, including the price of the additional services booked including VAT, must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of the booking period. If the balance is not paid within the aforementioned period, the booking will be considered cancelled and cancellation conditions described below will apply.
All bookings made less than 30 days before the starting date must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Please note: your booking request may be withdrawn in the event the 25% deposit (plus cancellation insurance premium if applicable) is not paid within 8 days following the booking request.

It is the Customer’s responsibility to check the accuracy of the order and to notify the Supplier immediately of any errors.
Any order placed on the www.camping-arpheuilles.com website is the basis of a remote contract between the Customer and the Supplier.
All orders are non-transferable.

Group bookings:
Any booking of more than 2 accommodations by the same individual or by different people who know each other and are travelling together for the same reasons, on the same dates of stay at the campground, is considered to be a group. Bachelor or bachelorette parties are not permitted on the campground. The accommodation offered on the campground website is exclusively for individual customers.
For all group booking requests, you must contact the Supplier. The Supplier retains the right to evaluate the reservation request before accepting or refusing it.

2 RENTAL
Arrival time:
Rented accommodation: check-in from 4pm and check-out until 10am.
Campsites: check-in from 2.30pm and check-out until 12 pm.

Campsite:
Definition of rental seasons: please refer to the price list.
We offer you a bare campsite for up to 6 people to pitch your tent, caravan or motorhome.
Campsite price: the price is per night of occupation for 2 people, one setup and one vehicle. Campsites are available from 2.30pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated before 12.00pm on the day of departure. An additional day will be charged for late check-out. This package gives free access to sanitary facilities, reception services, the swimming pool (except for school groups without their own lifeguard), playground areas and entertainment (in July and August).
Additional services: additional people (adults or children) or items present on the pitch (electricity, second vehicle, pet, etc.) are subject to a daily charge.
Please note: campsites are allocated on a first come, first served basis. The Supplier retains the right to change the allocation of the campsite when the Customer arrives.

Rented Accommodation:
Definition of rental seasons: Please refer to the price list.
Rental periods and duration: rentals are available for a week or by single night except in July and August (minimum 7 nights). The rental price includes: rental of the accommodation, utilities (water, electricity up to a maximum of 200 kW per week), access to reception services, swimming pool (except for school groups without their own lifeguards), playgrounds and entertainment (in July and August).
Rentals are available starting as 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure. An additional day will be charged for late check-out.
Transfer, subletting: All rentals are by name only and may under no circumstances be transferred or sublet.
Security deposit: the Customer must provide a security deposit on arrival, the amount of which is shown on the price list. The security deposit will be returned in full on the day of departure after a satisfactory inspection of the condition of the rented accommodation.
If the inspection is not satisfactory, will be deducted from the security deposit:
- The value of any missing items.
- A lump sum of €78 for inadequately cleaned facilities.
- The cost of repairs in the event of damage caused by the occupant.
- Damage exceeding the amount paid as a security deposit will be charged to the customer after deduction from the security deposit.
A deposit of 160 euros will be requested by cheque or credit card on arrival.
Preparing for your stay: it is essential to bring your own bed linen (sheets, pillowcases).
The key to your accommodation will be given to you on arrival.
During your stay, we ask you to respect all the signs and safety instructions displayed, and to return the keys to your accommodation on the day of your departure.
Rentals must be vacated by 10am. You are asked to leave the property as clean as you found it. An optional cleaning service is available at a cost of €78.

3.CAPACITY
Maximum capacity
For safety and insurance reasons, the number of occupants may not exceed the capacity specified for the type of accommodation or campsite booked (1 to 6 people maximum, depending on the capacity of the accommodation or campsite), including newborn babies. If, on your arrival, we observe that the maximum capacity of the booked accommodation or campsite has been exceeded, we retain the right to refuse you access to the booked accommodation or campsite, without refunding the price of the stay.

4.PAYMENT OF THE STAY
The accommodation or campsite booking only becomes effective after confirmation by the Supplier and payment of the deposit by the Customer.
The deposit must be paid at the time of the booking.
Open-air campsite: the remaining balance of the stay must be paid one month before the start of the stay without a reminder from us.
Rented accommodation: the remaining balance of the stay must be paid one month before the start of the stay without a reminder from us.

Tourism tax: 0.50€ /night and per person over 18.
Administration fees: for open-air campsite 5€/campsite and for rental accommodation 10€/rental accommodation.

5.ACCEPTED MEANS OF PAYMENT
Bank or postal cheque, payable to Camping Arpheuilles (French accounts only).

6.LATE ARRIVAL / EARLY DEPARTURE
In the event of a late arrival or a last-minute problem, it is essential to inform the Supplier.
In the absence of a written message from the Customer stating that they have to postpone the date of arrival, the campsite or rental accommodation will become available to other booking 12 hours after the stipulated arrival date in the rental contract, and full payment for services will still be required.
No discount will be granted for late arrivals or early departures.

7.CANCELLATION
In the event of a cancellation, the Customer still owes the Supplier:
- the initial booking deposit worth 25% of the stay if the Customer cancels more than 30 days before their scheduled arrival date.
- an amount equal to the total cost of the booking, if the Customer cancels less than 30 days before their scheduled arrival date.
All cancellations must be made in writing.

Customers may subscribe to a cancellation insurance.

8.OBLIGATIONS OF THE CUSTOMER

Civil liability insurance
Customers staying on a campsite or in rental accommodation must have third-party liability insurance. A certificate of insurance may be requested from the Customer before the start of the stay.

Pets
Pets are allowed in our accommodation (1 per accommodation) and campsite (2 per pitch maximum) at your own risk. All pets must be kept on a leash and tied to your campsite. Under no circumstances must they be left in the accommodation or on your campsite when you are away. First and second category animals are not accepted.
Please respect the hygiene and environment of the campground.

9.HOUSE RULES
Rules and regulations are displayed at the entrance to the campground and at the reception. Customers are required to read them and comply with them. They are available on request.
All Customers are required to comply with the campground’s internal rules, failing which they may be penalized, up to and including termination of the rental contract.
The campsite asks its customers to respect the silence after 11 pm. The Supplier retains the right to expel any person who does not respect this rule, without compensation or reimbursement.
Visitors are admitted to the campsite, up to a maximum of 4. They may arrive from 10 am and depart no later than 6 pm. Visitors must go through reception and pay an entrance fee of €7 per person (including children and babies).

AUTHORIZATION OF RIGHTS TO THE IMAGE: Camping Arpheuilles reserves the right to use photographs taken during activities or evenings. The images may be used for marketing purposes. If you do not wish this, please inform the management on arrival.

Bachelor and bachelorette parties are not permitted on the campsite.

For safety reasons, minors who are not accompanied by their parents or grandparents for the entire duration of their stay are not accepted on our campsite, unless we have notified you of this prior to your arrival, by e-mail or on your request.

The campground gate opens at 8.30 am. and closes at 10.30 pm.

The swimming pool is open from the 1st of May to 15th of September and all customers are required to comply with its rules and regulations.

10.RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
Activities relating to the organization and sale of holidays or excursions on a given date or during a specified period are not subject to the withdrawal period applicable to distance and off-premises sales, in accordance with the provisions of article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

11.APPLICABLE LAW - LANGUAGE
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale and the transactions arising from them are governed by and subject to French law.
These General Terms and Conditions are originally written in French. In the event that they are translated into one or more foreign languages, only the French text will apply in the event of a dispute.

12 DISPUTES
Any disputes raising from the purchase and/or sale transactions covered under the present General Terms and Conditions regarding concerning their validity, interpretation, execution, termination, consequences and which cannot be resolved between the Supplier and the Customer, shall be submitted to the competent courts under the tenets of common law.
The Customer is hereby informed that, in the event of a dispute, he/she has the right to call upon a conventional mediation procedure or to any other alternative dispute resolution method.
In particular, they may have free recourse to the following Consumer Mediator:
